We are looking for a _**Human Resources Assistant (Part Time or Student)**_ to join our team. This is a contract role, with a possibility for full time. We offer a competitive salary along with the opportunity to broaden your exposure to multiple industries and businesses.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with full-cycle recruitment activities: post job ads, review and screen resumes, set up and assist in interviews, and complete reference checks;
- Coordinate and participate in our new staff onboarding process and help track probationary periods;
- Plan and coordinate office events and activities;
- Assist with various types of communication and correspondence: employment verifications and HR-related inquiries;
- Assist with the maintenance and modification of HR Policies and Procedures, as well as Health and Safety Committee and related initiatives;
- Assist with HR and office administration on a regular basis as needed.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Post-secondary education in progress, preferably in a Human Resources stream and/or a genuine interest in Human Resources;
- 1+ years of related work or volunteer experience;
- Ability to work with confidential information;
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and attention to detail;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- A positive attitude with the desire to learn

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Human resources: 1 year (preferred)
