Production Supervisor

Acara solutions is looking for Production Supervisor for our client located in Brampton, ON
- Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for all facets of the production operation through their supervision of a team of production associates.
- Maintaining a safe, productive, and enjoyable workplace for all production employees via such measures as enforcement of proper PPE policy, optimal product flow, maintenance of housekeeping standards, inventory of proper tools and consumables
- Ensure adherence to the e-coating process from material staging, through racking, to inspection and packaging and safe/organized storage of finished product
- Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives; make suggestions for improvement and solicit them from other team members
- Assist in the investigation of quality issues, supporting the Quality Manager in whatever reasonable capacity
- Responsible for the investigation of Health and Safety related incidents involving your crew
- Responsibility for maintaining appropriate staffing levels on your shift to ensure the safe and efficient execution of daily production demands.
- Verifying and approving payroll hours for your team
- Training, coaching, developing, collaborating with, engaging and mentoring your team
- Conducting objective performance evaluations for your team based on the achievement of predetermined goals
- Collect, record, analyze and communicate relevant and reliable production and safety data via a daily shift report
- Responsible for the maintenance of production related consumable items inventory (racks, propane, PPE, etc.)
- Maintain open lines of communication with your team, other departments, other supervisors, and management
- Responsible for hosting daily pre-shift meetings with your team
- Other duties be assigned from time to time as needed by the business

- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Act and the regulations;
- Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that the worker's employer needs to be used or worn;
- Ensure that a worker works in the manner and with the protective devices, measures and procedures needed by the OHSA and the regulations [clause 27(1)(a)]
- Ensure that any equipment, protective device or clothing needed by the employer is used or worn by the worker [clause 27(1)(b)]
- Advise a worker of any potential or actual health or safety dangers known by the supervisor [clause 27(2)(a)]
- If prescribed, provide a worker with written instructions about the measures and procedures to be taken for the worker's protection [clause 27(2)(b)], and
- Take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of workers [clause 27(2)(c)].
- Observes Dependable's Health & Safety policies and procedures;
- Ensures work area is kept clean, orderly and safe at all times

Required Skills / Qualifications:

- Associate Degree
- Minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing in a leadership role

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

- E-coating or other metal finishing experience
- Computer literacy (intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office)

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
