Production Helper

Reports To: Lead Hand/Production Supervisor

**Job Summary**

Production Helpers assist lead hands in running production lines, sanitation procedures, basic paperwork and organization of crews around various stations in a continuous feed process making ice cream and ice water products.

**Summary of Essential Job Functions**
- Serve as primary assistant of the Lead Hand on each production line
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately, completely and in a timely fashion
- Help ensure that all General Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) are being respected and adhered to by all member of the production team
- Act as a point of support, role model and leader to the line workers scheduled on their production line
- Required to be able to complete all line worker positions as required to cover breaks, lunches and/or any shortages of staffing on the line
- Required to assign and delegate duties to line workers and run the line when the lead hand steps away from the room
- Ensure that the room remains full of required stock (cartons, inclusions, wrap etc)
- Responsible for ensuring that any required inclusions are consistently added as scheduled and make minor adjustments to settings on ingredient dosers and pumps as required
- Aid the lead hand and sanitation in cleaning and organizing the line with the use of various chemicals and methods.

**Physical Demands**
- Ambient temperatures, but may be damp (humidity)
- Repetitive bending, lifting, walking, reaching, standing
- Overall lifting of up to 50lbs, may be repeated up to once every 4 minutes, depending on line/product.
- Overall bending, twisting, pulling, maybe repeated up to once every 4 minutes
