**BOSTON PIZZA INTERNATIONAL INC.**

**Position**: Director of Communications
**Location**: Mississauga, ON
**Reports To**: SVP, Marketing & Communications

**Summary**:
The Director of Communications is responsible for planning, administration and execution all aspects of internal and external communications related to Boston Pizza International Inc.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Duties will be split across the following two key areas:
Internal Communications (80%)
- Centrally organizing and deploying all info and communications related to the running of the business that regularly flows from across BPI to Franchisees/Restaurants to ensure timely, easy and effective receipt
- Development of any processes and/or tools that will support the collection of information from across BPI and deployment to Franchisees/Restaurants
- Maintain a complete Archive of all materials communicated to Franchisees/Restaurants along with a Record of the timing of all communications
- Development of and ongoing updates to a suite of Best Practices as it relates to the regular communication of Business information to Franchisees/Restaurants (eg - formats, templates, channel/means of communication, etc.)
- Communication of major Business Activities & Information to internal BPI colleagues (eg - Store Openings, New Marketing Launches, etc.)
- Oversee content of all Corporate Newsletters or similar communication vehicles

External Communications (20%)
- Act as single point of contact for managing responses to Media inquiries
- Support SVP in training and execution of corporate crisis communication plan
- Work with Executive Director of the Boston Pizza Foundation on key communications materials
- Coordinate Media training for appropriate Corporate and Regional employees
- Management of Executive appearances and speeches

**Skills & Experience Required**

Min 6-10 years working within the BPI organization with assignments specifically in the areas of Store Support and Marketing Communications
- Prior experience at the Director level of an organization
- Experience working with a MarCom or PR agency
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills (written and oral)
- Skilled in Process Optimization & Oversight
- Professional maturity
- Consistently demonstrated Cross Functional mindset & work style
