**Responsibilities**:
Sales & Customer Experience:
- Provide Fantastic Guest Service
- Create and maintain a welcoming salon environment for both guests and employees.
- Supervise and lead the staff to deliver fantastic guest service by adhering to all service standards.
- Handle concerns with diplomacy and professionalism; always seeking a win-win solution.
Team Leadership:
- Manage the salon personnel. Recruit, train, build product knowledge, develop technical and soft skills, and manage performance.
- Lead by developing your staff and their personal productivity. Have a clear vision of each individual stylist’s goals and articulate the steps to achieve them.
- Act as coach and mentor to the staff. Coach the staff regarding work performance and set an example of behavior for them to follow.
- Identify the skill development needed for each stylist and determine the appropriate training resource to develop the skill.
- Attend training sessions and keep up to date with the industry.
- Provide appropriate training to staff.
- Write employee schedules, ensuring sufficient coverage and adherence to budget guidelines.
- Develop and train staff through positive coaching and feedback
Business & Management:
- Demonstrate Effective Business Intelligence
- Keep all salon business licenses current.
- Ensure your employees have current licenses.
- Meet or exceed financial metrics including service revenue, average ticket, guest count, color services, guest retention and retail sales.
- Analyze salon sales, expenses and trends using the POS system, on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Track progress against weekly revenue goals, stylist productivity goals, average ticket goals, retail goals, guest count goals, and guest retention goals.
- Manage and keep inventory under control and within budget. Place, check in, and stock supply orders in a timely manner and within budget
Recommended Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience with consultation-based customer service models
- Cosmetology license, 5 years relevant work experience or the equivalent
- Salon management experience
- Advanced competencies in salon service and product sales
- Knowledge of state board of cosmetology regulations and hiring requirements
- Exceptional written and oral communication
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Additional pay:
- Bonus pay
- Commission pay
