Logistics Support Technical Specialist

Embedded in the Customer Service Window at the Calgary HQ, the Logistics Support specialist will use their knowledge of supply chain processes to ensure the department is successful in storing, handling, and distributing aviation components to support daily operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide DRMIS Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to the CF18 Supply Technician team at Calgary.
- Ensure inventory availability at customer sites as required.
- Liaise with DND Procurement Administrator, Supply Managers, Life Cycle Managers, Technical Authorities and the National Defence Quality Assurance Region staff regarding and not limited to inventory requirements, projects, cycle counts.
- Communicate with customer supply depots concerning inventory shipments discrepancies.
- Assist in planning and implementing logístical strategies to ensure targets are achieved.
- Offer guidance and support to all within the Production Controller, Shipping and Receiving, AVS, PGS, and PAV departments, as well as LCs, TAs, window staff and subcontractors as required.
- Ensure that the DRMIS computer systems is consistent with Arcfield’s inventory and conduct investigations to address any discrepancies.
- Ensure we adhere to the DND procedures set out in the Supply Administrative Manual (SAM) and the Special Instructions for Repair and Overhaul Contractors (ALM184).

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Minimum High School diploma
- Minimum of eight years of experience using the Canadian Forces system ‘DRMIS’, or experience working with a database system (i.e., SAP) of any type.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office tools including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Substantial knowledge of Warehouse process.
- Meticulous attention to detail in document revision and control.
- Customer service focused with strong interpersonal skills.
- Standard work week Monday to Friday at Calgary Facility

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Familiar with ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality System processes associated with configuration and data management.
- Canadian Armed Forces Veteran with supply/logistic background is preferred.
