Front-of-house Customer Service Associate

Key responsibilities
- Prepare sandwiches, Paninis, and other deli items to standard recipes and portion controls
- Operate the front counter: greet customers, take orders, answer questions, upsell products, and handle cash/ POS transactions
- Support coffee service and beverage preparation as needed
- Manage in-store merchandising, display preparedness, and product presentation
- Take and process orders for catering and retail, including online orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with food preparation, packaging, and labeling for take-out and delivery
- Manage kitchen-to-counter workflow to maintain efficiency during peak times
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and organizational standards across all stations
- Interact with customers to resolve questions and feedback, delivering a high level of customer service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and coverage across all tasks

**Requirements**:

- Must be a resident of Canada and have valid permission to work in Canada
- Proven experience in deli, sandwich preparation, front-of-house service, or related food-service roles
- Ability to multitask across front-of-house, sandwich prep, and beverage service
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- References from previous employers or educational institutions available at the interview stage

Preferences
- Experience with POS systems, online ordering platforms, and basic inventory control
- Familiarity with food safety practices (HACCP or equivalent)
