Under the direction of the Manager, the assistant manager is responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, and success of the gym. This is a very customer service driven position, so we are looking for someone that exudes confidence and whose primary focus is helping others realize the physical and mental benefits that fitness has to offer. This is a great position for a fitness professional looking to play a critical role in a growing and dynamic small business backed by the world's largest kickboxing franchise. Gym membership sales and group/personal training experience is essential. **RESPONSIBILITIES** include, but are not limited to the following: **Training Members** - Explain and demonstrate exercises in a manner that provides the best workout each and every time, while motivating our members to reach their goals. **Selling** - Sell memberships with a focus on total revenue brought in each month - Maintain excellent customer service with current members, follow up with them to keep them engaged with our 9Round Family, and cultivate member referrals - Resolve past due memberships - 2+ years experience providing personal or group training. - Physically fit and committed to living a healthy lifestyle - Passionate, intelligent and knowledgeable regarding the fitness industry - Detail oriented, hardworking, accountable - Creative, high energy personality that is contagious - Someone who wants to have FUN, SMILE and LAUGH at work - Strong leadership ability with the understanding that there is no "I" in team - Ability to work independently, as well as with a team - Comfortable closing sales by building relationships and selling the value of 9Round - Current or ability to obtain CPR/AED certification - Computer literacy - Physical effort required to carry out daily duties such as lifting supplies and gym equipment potentially in excess of 25lbs. **BENEFITS** - 9Round Trainer Certification - Uniform and Equipment Starter Kit - Complimentary gym membership for yourself - Sales commission/Bonus **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time **Salary**: From $18.00 per hour Schedule: - Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types: - Bonus pay - Commission pay **Experience**: - fitness coaching: 1 year (preferred)
