The Facilities Manager will direct facilities management and plant maintenance activities for IMP Aerospace HIA properties as well a develop, coordinate and/or conduct special projects spanning the various departments of the Production organization as assigned by the Vice-President, Production.

The Facilitites Manager will report to the IMP Aerospace and Defence location at the Halifax International Airport.

**What You Will Do**:

- Coordinate and direct personnel and tasks related to facilities issues (e.g., hangar layouts, insurance claims, etc) and general plant maintenance.
- Maintain an ongoing Facilities Master Plan that plans maintenance and efficiency related upgrades for all facilities for at least a three year window.
- Liaise with the Continuous Improvement Department regarding the implementation of facilities-related continuous improvement initiatives.
- Direct facility related security activities including security services provider oversight and physical security policy development and implementation
- As a primary point of contact with the Training Department, oversee the development and implementation of training, qualification, and authorization of Facilities and Maintenance personnel in a consistent fashion across the various programs.
- Participate in company proposals when assigned.
- Supervise and provide technical/administrative direction to assigned personnel.
- Develop and monitor project budgets within overall Production Branch operational budget limitations.
- Exercise project management skills in the definition, planning, scheduling, implementation, and monitoring of assigned projects.
- Liaise with Production Department Heads and associated managers to facilitate completion of assigned projects.
- Report progress on assigned projects to the Vice-President, Production at an agreed periodicity.
- Update applicable SPPs to reflect facility changes as appropriate.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Vice-President, Production.

**What You Will Bring**:
Bachelor’s Degree, Technologist certificate, or equivalent combination of skills and experience in the field of Production and/or Facilities/Property Management or Industrial Operations, as well as:

- Experience managing direct reports in a production and/or maintenance operation is required (preferably military).
- Knowledge of regulations associated with the management and maintenance of hangar and office facilities.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements.
- Project and operational management skills.
- Knowledge of aircraft depot level maintenance, repair and overhaul.
- Knowledge of operational budgetary constraints.
