We are hiring a dedicated **Yardman **to join our team at our shop in Delta, BC.

**Shift Schedule**:
Monday - Thursday (4 days per week)

3:00PM - 1:00AM* (10 hour shifts)

**What we Offer**:

- Competitive wages from $21.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus $1.50 afternoon shift differential

**Requirements**:

- Forklift trained and certified
- Experience with rigging and/or cranes
- Preference will be given to those with overhead crane experience
- Safe and practical handling of all rigging, equipment and steel including inspection of equipment, chains, slings and other related rigging.
- Class 5 Drivers License to drive yard truck and trailer on company property
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office

**Responsibilities**:

- Loading/unloading trailer loads of steel in a safe manner using correct dunnage under/between steel for stable loads as per shipping orders.
- Overseeing and assisting co-working labors during loading/ unloading
- Escalates any issues regarding orders, missed or late deliveries, customer requests, etc.
- Verifies and checks off completed shipping list copies, noting changes of quantity
- Expedites all orders that require follow up, stock checks, special delivery deadlines
- Authorizes and /or approves carrier packing slips/bill of ladings under his or her jurisdiction
- Verifies and matches all packing slips, driver bills etc. to ISM purchase orders.
- Submits all relevant documents and ensures shipping lists are attached with every delivery.
- Responsible for verifying final inspections of all outgoing materials
- Perform regular clean up on all areas of the shop and yard daily and as time allows.
- Performs any other related duties that may be assigned

Please note this position is only available to residents of Canada.

**Salary**: $22.50-$28.50 per hour
