**About the role**
- At Capilano University, we offer a unique and rewarding opportunity for a Counsellor to make a significant impact on the lives of our students. This position will work, in-person, out of our North Vancouver campus, three to four days per week, including Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Most of the work will take place between September and April. Vacation and professional development activities will mostly take place from May through August. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

In this role you will provide vital individual counselling to our diverse student body, addressing a comprehensive spectrum of mental health, career development and student success challenges. You’ll have the chance to nurture personal and academic growth by developing and facilitating workshops on various mental health and student success topics. Your expertise will not be confined to one-on-one interactions; you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with our dedicated faculty and staff to address and improve student concerns, fostering an environment of holistic support.

A significant duty of this position also involves performing sub-administrative and organizational functions of the Counselling Services.
