Position: Learning Design Specialist

A key value at Longo’s, is life long learning, therefore the Learning Design Specialist’s role focuses on delivering creative blended learning and digital solutions, using adult learning principles, instructional design methodology and technology optimization to enhance the learners experience and align the learning outcomes, with measurable business results. **What you’ll do**:
**Digital Learning Design and Development**:

- Design and develop creative digital blended learning experiences, using the appropriate ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation & Evaluation) and/or SAM (Successive Approximation Model) methodology.
- Develop e-learning modules using authoring tools such as; Storyline 360 and Rise within Articulate 360 Suite.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to create new/update current e-Learning modules and make recommendations in regards the most appropriate way to design learning experiences.
- Tracks and provides metrics and performance updates.
- Supports facilitators in the preparation and delivery of digital learning experiences.

**Visual Media Development**:

- Uses software such as PowerPoint, photoshop, Vyond (GoAnimate), Articulate 360 Content Library and Replay 360, etc. to develop content.
- Creates appealing graphics and videos to utilize within digital learning experiences.

**Learning Management System (LMS)**:

- Lead for Administration, Access, Optimization, Support, Reporting and Maintenance of the learning management system.
- Creating new course shells, uploading course files, testing courses, to ensure successful end user access.
- Supporting hierarchy maintenance, end user’s password resets and managements proper access to reporting functions.
- Develop relationship with LMS technology support person(s) to ensure all modules are being viewed and tracked properly; features are optimized, and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Provides reports and metrics that provide complied information for further analysis.

**Support Company Learning Programs and Events**:

- Supports Learning & Performance Consultant with coordination and content development for GM Leadership Conference.
- Assists to develop presentation materials for special events using innovative and easy to navigate formats.
- Supports Learning and Performance Consultant with facilitation and coordination of in class learning sessions. (i.e. ADM, DMT, DM Refresher, Leadership Learning Series, etc.) as needed.
- Provides support in the management of the tuition and reimbursement process when required.

What we are looking for:

- 3 - 5+ years of learning and development experience, ideally in a multi-unit retail environment.
- 3 - 5+ years of experience with instructional design and development in a variety of modalities including: instructor led traditional and digital based classroom environments, eLearning authoring in both desktop and mobile responsive environments.
- Must have strong working knowledge of technology such as **L**earning **M**anagement **S**ystems; **H**uman **R**esource **M**anagement **S**ystems; MS Office Suite, including SharePoint; authoring tools, such as Articulate 360 Suite; and various multimedia tools such as Photoshop, Vyond (Go Animate).
- Must have advanced knowledge of e-Learning publishing packages, such as SCORM and know how to utilize SCORM Cloud to debug and test content.
- Institute for Performance and Learning (I4PL) designations and/or Human Resource Professional Association (HRPA) designations are an asset.
- Acts within the spirit and intent of Longo’s core values, demonstrates knowledge of all aspects of Longo’s business and the impact of Team Member learning and development on the business.

Work Environment:

- Work is performed in a standard office environment with participation in meetings, conference calls, etc.
