Lucent BioSciences is on a mission to accelerate sustainable agriculture by delivering crop nutrition that improves yield, soil health and sequesters carbon. Soileos is our first product: a cellulose-based smart micronutrient fertilizer offering higher yields while improving soil health.
**Who we’re looking for**:
**Your responsibilities**:
As a member of the Business Development Team, your primary responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the Regional Sales Reps to identify a list of potential customers to pursue;
- Outreaching, prospecting, and qualifying leads;
- Exemplify a deep understanding of Lucent Bio’s products;
- Maintain relationships with different channels and provide after sales support and follow-up;
- Assist the Regional Sales Representative in scheduling and planning client meetings;
- Provide first-line support and knowledge of Lucent Bio products to retailers and growers;
**You’ll be a great match if you have these skills & experience**:
- You have post-secondary education in a related field; Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness is preferred;
- At least three (3) years of experience within the commercial division of Agribusiness is preferred;
- You bring extensive knowledge of retail and wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques;
- You enjoy building rapport and relationships with clients
- You take pride in being a self-motivated person, fast learner, team player, and creative problem solver
- You are friendly and personable with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- You have excellent documentation and organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail
- You can successfully juggle multiple tasks and have outstanding time management skills
