**POSITION**: Short Term Passport Funding Worker (Social Services)
**LOCATION**: Barrie with travel throughout Simcoe County

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To support the facilitation of the Passport Program by assisting with specific administrative program responsibilities in addition to specific recipient-facing responsibilities. The Short-Term Passport Funding worker will accomplish this by working collaboratively with the Passport Funding Workers, the Passport Program Assistant and the individuals and families in Simcoe County, working in conjunction with Passport One and Developmental Services Ontario.

STATEMENT OF MAJOR REPSONSIBILITIES
- To support the allocation of Passport Funds to recipients through the provision of information and required documentation, including completion of Service Agreements
- To support the funding entity, Passport One, in processing invoices by monitoring and resolving invoices issues, exception requests, change in personal information such as address and Person Managing Funds, in addition to data entry maintaining the provincial database utilized by Passport One
- Maintain service data to ensure accurate reporting and statistics through agency-maintained records as well as provincial databases
- To attend and participate in supervision, team meetings, performance appraisal
- To practice effective communication with co-workers, consulting and sharing resource information and providing case coverage as required
- To adhere to all agency standards and guidelines and procedures including health and safety
- To perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor/Manager that are consistent with the incumbent’s position

QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and Experience
- Generally acquired through a combination of post-secondary education at a Community College level in one of the social or behavioural disciplines plus two years related work experience
- Knowledge and/or Skill Level
- Ability to develop trusting, co-operative relationships with clients, families, service providers, and other stakeholders and to interact with individuals with special/exceptional needs
- A commitment to Wraparound approach
- Excellent computer skills, working knowledge of Excel, familiarity with internet-based platforms
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills and judgement
- Knowledge of community resources, family systems and relevant legislation for individuals with special needs
- Sensitivity, understanding and ability to work with a variety of value systems, beliefs and cultures
- A working knowledge of French Language is beneficial

**Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle**

**Hourly Rate Range**:$26.96- $30.32
