It delivers educational programming that fosters extraordinary student-teacher interaction, student leadership and entrepreneurship, intercultural dialogue and engagement, and high-calibre athletics. - COMPETITION NUMBER - C24-25-PNE-16 - POSITION - Pedagogical Counselor (Regular full-time) - DEPARTMENT - Academic Services - TYPE OF HIRING - Regular Full-Time - WORK SCHEDULE - 35 hours per week From Monday to Friday - Schedule to be determined - WORK LOCATION - 325, boul. de la Cité-des-Jeunes, Gatineau (Québec) J8Y 6T3 - SALARY RANGE- 54,661.00$ - 100,282.00$ - ROLE SUMMARY**Call for Candidature** In order to provide support for its faculty, CÉGEP Heritage College is seeking to hire a full-time Techno-Pedagogical Counsellor to join its team. **Responsilities**: - DUTIES- Assist faculty, programs, and departments in carrying out their teaching responsibilities. - Consult with faculty on pedagogy related issues and provide them with best practice informed recommendations. - Work directly with students to provide support on academic integrity and guide them in utilizing LMS effectively. - Promote best practices in digital pedagogy, LMS, instructional design, and the use of emerging educational technologies. - Research, evaluate, and recommend educational technologies that align with the college’s pedagogical goals. - Act as a liaison between faculty and IST services to ensure pedagogical needs are met through technology infrastructure. - Prepare and facilitate professional development activities for faculty, including EDI principles and technology-based teaching and learning practices. - Advise faculty on curricular and course (re-)design. - Support faculty in Ministry of Education driven program revisions (analysis, development, implementation, evaluation, revision). - Promote and support faculty in pedagogical or disciplinary research. - Manage, implement, assess, and disseminate pedagogical projects. - Support and advise faculty on developing inclusive pedagogies and practices that promote equity and accessibility in the learning environment. - Collaborate with faculty to create strategies that enhance a sense of belonging for students from diverse backgrounds, including marginalized, and equity-deserving groups. - Monitor implementation of College's policies, particularly educational and research policies. - Assist in policy evaluation. - Lead or participate in College committees. - Perform outreach activities within CÉGEP/college/university networks. - Perform all other related tasks. - MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**Schooling and Experience** - Bachelor’s degree in related field required. - Master’s degree in related field would be considered an asset. - Demonstrated experience with integrating technology into teaching and learning environments. - Experience with inclusive curriculum design, and/or EDI pedagogical approaches - A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience (at post-secondary level would be an asset). - ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS- Bilingual in both French and English (written, spoken, reading, and listening comprehension). - Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deliver multiple projects under tight timelines. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Desire and ability to stay current on pedagogical innovations and best practices. - Strong capabilities for remote and onsite facilitation with diverse clientele. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Diligent, dynamic, creative, and detail oriented. - Flexible and able to adapt quickly to different situations. - Outstanding work ethic and ability to exercise discretion. - Strong Microsoft's Office suite software using skills. - Excellent knowledge of digital learning environments. - General understanding of CÉGEP system.
