Axton Inc. is seeking a motivated **Project Manager & Estimator** with substantial experience in **custom steel fabrication.** This role demands a deep understanding of complex manufacturing processes specific to pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other industrial equipment. Applicants with experience limited to structural steel projects may lack the specific skill set required for this position.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Project Management_
- Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams to maintain project timelines and specifications.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve issues early.
- Ensure comprehensive project documentation and client communication throughout.
- Manage change requests to stay within budget and align with client requirements.
- Conduct post-project evaluations for continuous improvement.
- Estimating & Sales_
- Prepare accurate cost estimates based on client specifications, drawings, and detailed project requirements.
- Create detailed proposals for custom manufacturing projects, with a focus on specialized equipment.
- Strengthen client relationships and identify new business opportunities in target sectors.
- Attend industry events to represent Axton and expand our client base.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management and sales/estimating within **custom fabrication for industrial equipment**, not limited to structural steel.
- In-depth knowledge of **ASME Sect VIII, Div 1 codes, ISO 9001 standards**, and high-precision fabrication practices.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, welding processes for pressure vessels, specialized machining, and quality assurance standards.
- Strong client-facing communication skills and ability to manage complex project scopes effectively.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Post-secondary education in a related field preferred.

**Salary**: starting at $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
