**DEPARTMENT: Joint Clinical Committees**

The Joint Clinical Committees Department (JCC) supports the committees and extensive workplans of the Joint Clinical Committees (JCCs): Family Practice Services Committee (FPSC), Shared Care Committee (SCC), and Specialist Services Committee (SSC). Driven by collaborative relationships between the Ministry of Health and Doctors of BC, and captured under the Physician Master Agreement, work is focused on developing and leveraging relationships, sharing knowledge and lessons learned, working together towards common goals to support improved patient outcomes, increased professional satisfaction, and maintaining system costs.

**THE JOB**:Vice President, Joint Clinical Committees**

The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

Starting Salary Range: $197,063 - $246,329

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, Joint Clinical Committees (VP JCC) is responsible for uniting and elevating the work of three independent Joint Clinical Committees into a cohesive department. The Department is one that leads transformation initiatives for primary care and specialist services across BC’s health system, in alignment with the Physician Master Agreement. The overarching objective of the JCCs is to increase physician voice and influence while enhancing outcomes for both physicians and patients through high-profile strategies and initiatives. This position is responsible for working across the team and with other departments to drive operational efficiencies by streamlining collaborative approaches and processes. The position is also a key strategic link with internal and external executives, physician leaders and other partners and stakeholders to further strategic priorities and achieve committee deliverables. This position will develop an aligned and cohesive approach and measurement strategy across the work of the JCCs.

The VP JCC displays exceptional leadership ability and excels at managing large and diverse business units, with significant budgetary responsibilities through operational change while building strong vision, collaborative partnerships, and mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The VP JCC works with physician leaders and the team to assist in helping to influence and shape the JCCs into the future. This includes building a culture of achievement and accountability that is consistent and integrated into the culture of Doctors of BC.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Alignment**: Develop and implement strategies to facilitate the alignment of FPSC, SSC, SCC initiatives into a unified strategic approach.

**Efficiency Enhancement**: Identify and implement process improvement and efficiencies to streamline JCC’s operations and decision-making process.

**Measurement**: Accountable for the planning, execution, and measurement of initiatives for all JCC’s, ensuring they are aligned with the collective strategic goals.

**Engagement**: Build and nurture relationships with high-level system partners, including the College of Physicians and Surgeons, the Medical Services Commission, Health Authorities, and other key stakeholders. Influence alignment of Ministry of Health policies, College standards, and Physician practice guidelines to minimize conflicting directives.
