Junior Estimator

**West Four Aluminum** is a historic storefront aluminum manufacturer located in Edmonton. West Four Aluminum's staff are experienced, knowledgeable and exuberant. We are starting the next exciting chapter to grow our brand across all our locations.

**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Estimation**:

- Assist in estimating aluminum storefront projects based on architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
- Review and analyze project requirements to accurately determine material quantities, labor costs, and other project expenses.
- Collaborate with senior estimators to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
- Research and evaluate materials, subcontractor costs, and other factors to ensure the most cost-effective solutions.

**Inside Sales**:

- Provide excellent customer service to clients, responding to inquiries and providing product information and pricing.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely quotations for aluminum storefront projects.
- Follow up on quotations and provide additional information as needed to secure orders.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for maximizing sales and profitability.

**Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate and organized records of all estimates, quotes, and related documents.
- Prepare and submit required paperwork, including purchase orders and change orders.
- Ensure that all documentation is complete and compliant with company standards and requirements.

**Customer Relations**:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, architects, and contractors.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address questions, concerns, and requests.
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers as needed.

**Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the sales, production, and project management teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement process improvements.
- Assist in training new employees as needed.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in estimating, inside sales, or a related field, preferably in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of aluminum storefront systems and materials is a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimation software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with estimation software such as WinBid, QuoteSoft, or similar programs.
- Experience with ERP software (e.g., S2K) is a plus.

**Work Environment**:

- The work environment is in an office setting within a manufacturing facility.
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots are required in certain areas.
- The job may involve occasional visits to construction sites or customer locations.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
