Highway Dispatcher

Opportunity available for an experienced dispatcher

Responsibilities include:

- Interact with Drivers providing their dispatches
- Make decisions for optimal use of drivers and equipment for pick ups and deliveries
- Follow up on related issues
- Liaise between drivers and customers as needed
- Search for loads on Load Link to help fill trucks where needed
- Deal with other carriers and negotiate rates accordingly
- Build loads in Computer and update bills as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- You must have dispatch experience in order to be considered for this role
- Dedicated experience providing customer service in a similar work environment
- Well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness
- Demonstrated attention to detail, communication, problem solving and planning abilities
- Ability to multitask and to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of Truckmate a plus

Hours: Monday to Friday, days, starting at 6:30 a.m.or earlier daily must be flexible with finish time.
