POSITION OVERVIEW

The Business Development Bank of Canada is in the process of updating its infrastructure to meet the growing telecommunications and data protection needs. The implementation of new technologies is required to accelerate innovation and time-to-market by fostering resilience, agility and consolidation of the IT workload.

Our team is responsible for the telecom, telephony, virtualization, storage and backup infrastructure at BDC. It consists of about twenty people from these diverse areas of expertise, who work together as a team to execute various projects, as well as to support the BDC's production.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET- Planning, design and management of data center and business center telecommunications infrastructure- Update to keep telecommunications infrastructure secure (Strengthen security).- Develop and implement new solutions- Develop, draft, test and ensure the dissemination of procedures necessary for the smooth running of IT operations- Provide state-of-the-art support on technical, operational and infrastructure equipment issues

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of telecommunications infrastructure.- University degree in Computer Science- Cisco Meraki : MX, MS, MR- Cisco vASA, Routers, Switches, WAN Accelerator, Nexus- Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF)- Core Switches : Cisco 6832X, VSS Cluster; NX-OS- High Density Wi-Fi Network: 802.1ac Wave2, Cisco WLC, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Meraki Wi-Fi- Checkpoint NGFW, Pulse-Secure SA (Security Appliance), RSA ACE server- Cisco ISE 3.1: Dot1x, Certificates, Profiling- Quality of Service (QoS)- Telephony IP, Cisco Unified communications, Cisco Cube, CER, Webex, Unity, Expressway, Jabber, Cisco Videoconferencing Room, MSTeams, Opentext CX-E, NICE, Mediaplatform, RightFax- Monitoring : CA Spectrum, DX NetOps- VmWare NSX-T, VRNI, VrOps- Automation Tools: Terraform- Infoblox : DHCP, DNS, IPAM, NTP. DNS Made Easy- BigIP F5 Loadbalancer; LTM, APM- Cisco Licensing and Support: Cisco Smart Licensing, Cisco Smartnet- GPON: Fiber Optic Network (Asset)- Specialist in complex enterprise telecommunications infrastructure- Analytical mind, structured and rigorous reasoning- Team spirit, efficiency and being able to adapt quickly- Professionalism and concern for a job well done- Resourceful, autonomous, self-taught and dynamic- Strong communication skills- Ability to draft documents in a clear and structured manner- Ability to solve problems in emergency situations- Bilingual (French and English)
