At Vision Nursing and Rest Home we care about the care of our residents and the satisfaction of our employees first. We are looking to add to our family by adding a few housekeepers. Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager and essential to delivering the highest level of care for our residents, the housekeepers are responsible for the majority of the day-to-day cleaning of our home.

**Some of Your Daily Tasks**:
1. To perform housekeeping duties which includes floor maintenance, spring cleaning of rooms, daily maintenance of rooms and offices, activity areas and public and staff areas

2. To maintain clean and odour free home areas.

3. To monitor, correct and report any unsafe practice in the home i.e. heavy items stored above wardrobes, removal of wet floor signs, unsafe chemical storage.

4. Responsible for taking down the window drapes and privacy curtains for laundering as scheduled and as needed.

5. Stocks the housekeeping cart with supplies daily.

6. Ensure infection control protocols for the environment are strictly practiced.

7. Other duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Coordinator

**Some Experience We Hope You Would Bring to Our Home**:
1. Grade 12 education minimum required.

2. Previous housekeeping experience in an institutional setting is desirable.

3. Skills in the operation of cleaning machinery.

**Salary**: From $18.81 per hour
