**Job Description**:
This position will expose the student to activities associated with the development and support of high-speed data communications and digital video electronic components. This individual will be primarily involved with R&D Lab Coordination activities, but may also include evaluation and lab testing of new ICs with the Applications Engineering team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Assist in the overall management and maintenance of our multi-million dollar, cutting-edge Research and Development lab.
- Work closely with multiple NPI (new product introduction), and customer facing teams to create lab setups for support of critical data collection.
- Utilize SAP working with various internal teams to purchase and reserve key components and items to satisfy project requirements
- Interface and work with IndySoft, our calibration / asset management system, to assist in creating and sustaining critical equipment records.
- Coordinate equipment calibration for both off cycle and volume on site events.
- Interface with multiple equipment and peripheral vendors to maintain relationships, research, investigate, purchase, and coordinate items for repair as required for project success.
- Aid in the maintenance of our quality and environmental ISO standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent tracking and follow up skills
- Highly adaptable - enjoy working in a fast paced environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with little supervision
- Familiarity with Visio and CAD tools
- Skilled in troubleshooting and critical thinking
- Exposure to varied test and measurement equipment
- Experience with troubleshooting PCBs and systems is desirable
- Analogue and digital circuit theory is an asset
