**Requirements**:
- 1-3+ years culinary/leadership experience (If you have potential and less experience, we still want to meet you).
- Solid leadership skills and experience recruiting, training and managing both culinary and stewarding brigades.
- A passion for culinary and creating world-class experiences. A desire to learn and grow through personal and career development with an entrepreneurial mindset. You see things from a new perspective.
- Culinary degree or red seal considered an asset. Ability to read, write & speak fluent English, 2nd language is considered an asset. Foodsafe Level 2, solid administrative skills, scheduling, ordering/inventory. Flexible schedule including the ability to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays and extended shifts.
The Kitchen Leader is responsible for:
- Coordination of all food production for restaurant.
- Ensuring food quality & food safety measures are executed while maintaining food costs at targeted levels.
- Maintaining systems & procedures for ordering, receiving storage, preparation & service of food.
- Overseeing department selection, hiring, training, standards & procedures, evaluating, and scheduling processes.
- Continually evaluating and documenting the performance of all culinary positions. Being knowledgeable in the day to day forecasting of revenue, associated labor, and operating costs.
- Continually evaluating equipment, stock levels, labor, & business volume forecasting taking appropriate actions to ensure all areas are prepared and in working order.
- Ensuring the Culinary team is properly trained & developed. Establishes presentation techniques & quality standards.
- Demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of products offered including food recipes, prices, presentation, internal control procedures and all company policies.
- Ensuring all operations follow safety and health guidelines in accordance with Fraser Health Authority.
