Theatre Technician

The Peoples Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA) is part of the Markham Peoples Community Church. The mandate of the PTPA is to provide our patrons, and clients with the best possible theatre experience. Our 771 seat auditorium is home to Dance Recitals, Dance Competitions, School Graduations, Family Movie Nights, Music Concerts, School Productions, Corporate Events, and Live Theatre Productions.

We are looking to build a strong team of Theatre Technicians who have experience in operating an Allen & Heath GLD 112 sound board, along with an Element 2 lighting board. We also have the largest HD Video wall in York region, so if you have experience in operating a video wall that would be a great asset.

Some of the other duties will be to maintain theatre equipment, and track our inventory to ensure the proper handling of the PTPA assets. Prepare show reports, and report any issues to the Theatre Manager. Assist in the load-in and out of clients sets, and equipment.

As this is a part-time job, you will have the flexibility to work elsewhere, as we will give you your schedule at least 30 days in advance. If you love working in theatre, enjoy making sure clients events go off without a hitch, and are a team player we want to hear from you.

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
