Travel Agent Job Responsibilities:
Meeting with clients to determine travel needs, budgets and preferences.

Selling and coordinating transportation, accommodations, insurance, tours and activities.

Advising clients regarding destinations, cultures, customs, weather and activities.

Collecting payments, booking travel arrangements and paying applicable fees.

Handling travel issues, conflicts, complaints, cancellations and refunds.

Building and maintaining relationships with travel and tour vendors.

Attending travel seminars and conferences.

Conducting research on destinations and industry trends.

Maintaining accurate records of bookings, payments, transactions, phone calls and meeting.

Travel Agent Qualifications/Skills:
Strong sales and interpersonal skills

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Ability to negotiate effectively

Excellent knowledge of computer reservation computer programs

Strong problem-solving skills

Detail oriented and highly organised

Strong ability to manage time and prioritise tasks

Working knowledge of domestic and international travel trends

Ability to speak languages in addition to English preferred

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in tourism, travel, hospitality, business or related field

Up to date on applicable state licensing or registration requirements

Experience working as a travel agent

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance

**Salary**: $190.00-$420.00 per day

Expected hours: 21 per week

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay
- Retention bonus

**Experience**:
