**Summary**

Working with the site Foreman and Superintendent, the Field Surveyor & Project Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining site surveys, completing daily reports, and communicating with all necessary parties.

**Responsibilities**

**Project Coordinator**
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Work with site Supervisor/Foreman
- Communicate with office and site Engineer
- Track contract change
- Organize, track, and supervise quality control

**Surveyor**
- Create and maintain the site survey; measure distances, create layout, stake out the project and record as-built information
- Prepare maps, plots, and reports
- Maintain and operate survey equipment (laser/GPS)
- Report any equipment hazards or issues
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Training or post-secondary education in surveying or civil construction
- 1-2 years experience in surveying or GPS construction
- Willing and able to travel out-of-town/province, 22-day shifts with 6 days off
- Experience or training with GPS is an asset
- Able to read & interpret specifications, site plans, and drawings
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Keen attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of heavy equipment or civil construction is an asset
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the position, with a willingness to work in remote sites in adverse weather conditions.
