Marmon Industrial Water designs and manufactures industrial water and wastewater treatment equipment solutions, under the brand names Graver Water Systems and Ecodyne. Our technologies included raw water pretreatment, filtration, ion exchange, demineralization, degasification, hot lime softening, boiler make-up, condensate polishing, wastewater treatment, cooling, and oil/water separation for markets such as petrochemical/chemical, power generation and heavy industrial plants.

Marmon Industrial Water is currently seeking a **Buyer** to join our team. This motivated, personable, self-starter will work as part of a team to ensure that all purchased goods, materials, components, or services are in line with specified costs, quality, and delivery targets in support of Capital Equipment for Industrial Water Treatment Projects.

- Prepare purchase orders in accordance with final negotiations with selected suppliers and in compliance with organizational targets and requirements
- Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets
- Develop cost effective strategies for product or supply change and work towards achieving savings targets as set out by Management
- Monitor market trends, understand economic climate and develop strategies
- Provide improvements to team efficiency, procurement processes and practices, while adding value, aiding business performance and working towards a strategy of continuous improvement
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensuring excellent communication
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and review opportunities for savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods
- Assess tenders and quotations from potential suppliers
- Assess and evaluate supplier performance ensuring contract compliance and expectations are held
- Effectively communicate with suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues
- Attend or facilitate meetings to update all relevant departments on issues and/or concerns

**Qualifications, Skills, Competencies**:

- 3-5 years of Procurement experience
- CSCP or SCMP designation preferred
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving abilities
- Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
- A self starter, self-motivated, assertive, optimistic, resilient and open to change
- Ensures that an ethical and professional approach is taken in relation to all team members, colleagues, and suppliers
- Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders regarding new projects and supplier initiatives
- Embraces team dynamics while fostering strong communication with equality in mind creating a positive culture around you
- Complies with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, Company Guidelines & Purchasing Policies & Procedures
