Production Worker

Crosslink Laminates Inc. is a family operated, fast growing company. We manufacture a variety of fiberglass parts and ship around the world. Permanent, full-time position. Full-time hours are Monday - Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm; Friday 7:00am to 11:00am, with some overtime if needed.

We are seeking a Production Worker with attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and follow through when given detailed instruction. Primary responsibility will be assisting in open molding department by participating in roll-out practices. You will be part of a fast-paced, results-oriented team that builds a variety of fiberglass parts and assists the Operations Manager in the closed molding department. You will sometimes be responsible for other aspects of fiberglass work including trimming, sanding, and finishing.

**Responsibilities**:

- Following all company policies, procedures, and values.
- Fabricate composite molds and parts as per the instructions and drawings using wet layup, and open molding techniques.
- Working with a variety of polyester resins, chemicals, fiberglass materials, and specialty tools.
- Lay-up, demolding, and vacuum bagging of composite parts as per instructions/drawings.
- Ability to demonstrate good working knowledge of composite materials, processes, and best practices.
- Polishing, deburring, and grinding of composite parts as per instructions/drawings
- Repair and assemble parts/components/sub-assemblies using special jigs and fixtures.
- Good knowledge of measuring instruments, its proper and accurate usage, which includes gauges, calipers, etc.
- Assisting Operations Manager in whatever capacity is required to meet volume quotas.
- Ensuring that all necessary materials are on hand for the day’s production.
- Assisting in the roll-out process of laminating, including precutting fiberglass mats and stiffener materials as required by projects being assembled.
- Mixing catalysts into polyester resins and saturating cloth and mats with mixtures, using brushes; pat or press layers of saturated mat or cloth into place on molds, using brushes or hands, and smooth out wrinkles and air bubbles with rollers; release air bubbles and smooth seams, using rollers.
- Checking completed products for conformance to specifications and for defects by measuring with rulers or micrometers, by checking them visually, or by tapping them to detect bubbles or dead spots.
- Trimming and sanding fiberglass parts according to templates and blueprint specifications.
- Keeping work areas clean and up to Health and Safety standards
- Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment and practicing safety procedures effectively.

**Education/Experience**
- Fiberglass or manufacturing experience an asset
- General mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read, interpret, and create blueprints, engineering drawings, tool designs, illustrated plans, and sketches
- Knowledge and experience operating hand, power, and measurement tools; including grinders, sanders, diamond cutters, polishers, drills, and calipers
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and be on your feet for long periods of time

Will require steel-toed work boots, we supply all other Personal Protective Equipment

Starting wage is $20.00/hour.
