Housing Coordinator

Primary Purpose of the Job:
The Housing Coordinator oversees coordinating with host families, current students, and student counsellors regarding student accommodation and housing as well.

Reports to: Director of Administration

Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to:

- All secretarial duties for the administration of the housing programs.
- Prepare and maintain resident files.
- Initiate and maintain communication with host families professionally and courteously on a regular basis
- Research and maintain records of alternative accommodation for students.
- Schedule and complete weekly, monthly and annual reviews for housing programs.
- Respond to requests for information from clients and the public.
- Provide administrative support in other management departments as necessary.
- Maintain a healthy and safe work environment by using safe work practices and reporting unsafe conditions or injuries.
- Provide reception and assistance to students, faculty, and staff in different departments and the public.

Qualifications and Education:

- Degree or Diploma from a recognized university or post-secondary institution.
- Experience in secretarial operations will be considered in lieu of formal education.
- A courteous, positive, and honest attitude.
- Effective communication skills and intrapersonal skills; especially active listening skills
- Ability to work alone without direct supervision.
- Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities.
- Must be adaptable, dependable, and willing to learn.

Analytical skills, problem-solving ability, team player, effective communicator, planning and organizing, service-oriented, and time management skills.

This role is located full-time in our Vancouver office (Monday to Friday) from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (40 hours work week). Please submit your resume and cover letter describing your wage expectations and past experiences.

Other Compensation: Extended health benefits after three months.

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
