Are you a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in Industrial blasting and coatings, equipped with a deep understanding of the oil and gas sector and pipeline coatings? MasTec Canada is actively seeking an Industrial Coatings Field Operations Manager to join our team based in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
An Industrial Coatings Field Operations Manager reporting to the General Manager, Coatings will be an intricate member of the Coatings team, who will work collaboratively with internal project teams to oversee and successfully execute projects throughout Western Canada.
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:
- Manage and coordinate field coating crews and equipment to ensure smooth project execution
- Coordinate and oversee equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Ensure that MasTec Canada’s coatings quality control program is adhered in accordance with company’s and industry’s highest standards
- Manage and enforce safety programs to create a secure working environment
- Assist in the estimating process for accurate project planning as required
- Provide leadership and guidance to field crews, ensuring work is carried out efficiently, safely, and meets quality standards
- Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners to ensure project success and customer satisfaction
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to achieve project goals
- Travel to project sites to provide on-site leadership, troubleshooting, and quality control support as required
- Other duties as assigned
**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial blasting and coatings
- AMPP Certified Coating Inspector Certification (NACE CIP Level 2)
- In-depth knowledge of industrial blasting and coatings in the oil and gas sector
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**:
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Canada’s 6 Core Values
- Ambitious, pro-active, high-energy, positive attitude and a team player
- Proficiency in pipeline coatings
- Familiarity with plural component spray systems, is an asset
- Proficient computer skills with MS Excel and Word
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with all levels in the organization
- Ability to self-manage, prioritize tasks, meet multiple deadlines and solve practical problems
- Ability to identify and report hazards
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints and procedure manuals
- In depth knowledge of procedures, equipment, regulations, and guidelines
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required
