**Title**: Junior Accounting Associate

**Job Type**: Permanent, On-Site

**Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 8AM - 5PM

**Reports To**: Director of Accounting

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily reviews of bank activity and verification.
- Process and submit weekly electronic payments, including ACH, bill payments, and wire transfers.
- Post journal entries as directed by management.
- Monitor accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) sub ledgers, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and periodic cash flow reports.
- Maintain vendor setup and banking information.
- Process corporate credit card statements and staff expense reports.
- Assist in month-end closing by preparing account reconciliations and financial analyses.
- Manage leases for parent and subsidiary companies.
- Handle tax filings, including HST, QST, corporate tax, WSIB, and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and statements as requested.
- Support external auditors during year-end audits.
- Process payroll for subsidiary companies.
- Compile daily/weekly yard check and tonnage reports.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for parent and subsidiary companies.
- Generate intercompany and external rent/chargeback billings as required.
