**Accounting Supervisor**

Trimay Wear Plate is the leading manufacturer and distributor of overlay wear plate & pipe, rubber lined pipe, welding consumables, and VR connectors. Trimay has a manufacturing facility and head office in east Edmonton, and services an international customer base in a wide range of industries, including mining, oilfield, forestry, asphalt and power generation.

We are currently looking for an Accounting Supervisor to join our team. Duties will include but not be limited to:

- Monitor inventory costing, quantities and investigate variances.
- Assist with completion of physical inventory counts.
- Follow-up of collections on overdue accounts receivable.
- Bank reconciliations
- Process payroll including T4’s, ROE’s, WCB and payroll journal entries
- Calculate GST and PST payments
- Monitor inventory on hand
- Calculate and enter production records in Quickbooks
- Job costing of work orders
- Approve all payable invoices
- Produce financial statements and monthly reports
- Maintain records for associated company
- Manage accounting clerk/receptionist
- Assist auditors in yearly review

The Accounting Supervisor must possess the following:

- Proven accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be experienced, trained and knowledgeable in Quickbooks Enterprise (or ERP software) & Microsoft Office products.
- Hands on experience with Excel and working with and creating spreadsheets.
- Excellent communication and administrative skills. Will be working with a variety of individuals and departments.
- Exceptional organization and time management skills.
- Must be a team player, willing to learn, and able to ask questions. Applicants must be accurate, and willing to investigate and dig deeper when things do not appear correct.

Compensation to be based on experience. Benefits will be provided after 3 months of employment. Reports to Chief Financial Officer.
