As a Technical Writer you will research, write, and build product documentation created from our research and development sites. As part of the Documentation group, your understanding of documentation best practices and commitment to innovative documentation strategies will help contribute to global documentation initiatives and produce high-quality documentation.
- Manage multiple projects to create product documents that conform to company documentation and quality assurance standards, in a variety of media/formats.
- Participate in global workgroups, project groups

**Education and Work Experience**:

- 2 to 4 years of previous technical writing and marketing communication experience, preferably in the software industry
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with software product development and product documentation requirements
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven organizational, multi-tasking, time management, planning, and project management skills required
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies on an on-going basis, including the capability to communicate technological principles and information in an audience-friendly manner
- Experience with DITA content, topic-based authoring. HTML, and XML-based editors, as well as working with Component Content Management Systems (CCMS).
- Previous experience with information architecture and/or persona-based design principles an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Rhetoric and Professional Writing (RPW), Journalism, Communication, or related field, or equivalent education and experience

**Additional Assets**:

- Previous experience in the medical field or medical device manufacturing industry an asset
- Experience with Ixiasoft, Oxygen, Confluence, CSS, and graphic design software products an asset
- Experience delivering dynamic content to the web, and mobile devices
- Experience with Agile processes and Agile documentation
- Experience or understanding of HL7 or DICOM an asset
