Medieval Times is an exciting entertainment & dining experience with 10 locations entertaining millions of visitors each year.We are looking for an **Arena (Food Server) Manager **to join our team in Toronto.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The Arena Manager has authority for overseeing activities related to area of the building called the Arena; where guests are seated, dinner is served, and the show takes place.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Interviews and makes recommendations for hiring decisions for all Arena Team Members (Food Servers)

Manages each employees training including, but not limited to, his or her understanding of their role in the show, castle policies and castle regulations

Schedules the Arena Team Members for each show according to the size and type of show, per Medieval Times staffing models

Manages scheduling and timekeeping procedures as established by GM

Insures that Arena Team Members are in place, on time, in place, in costume and in character as required

Maintains awareness of the appearance of the arena and makes corrections as needed

Insures Arena Team Members interact with the guests in character

Oversees arena set-up

Oversees seating arrangements

Ensures proper food service sequence is followed

Provides regular, timely, and continued performance feedback through coaching and development

Monitors labor costs and controls

Monitors all safety policies to insure compliance

Reports and investigates all accidents in a timely manner

Supports operations by handling customer problems and complaints as required

Assists with special functions, shows, groups and/or individual guests as required

Assists late arriving guests with seating

Performs other duties, as assigned

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
***Managerial skills ability to lead, coach and develop a team

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to communicate with Management, Team Members and Guests

Ability to count money and calculate change

Physical ability to stand, walk and walk up and down stairs for extended periods

Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed

**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE**:
***High School diploma required; Bachelors degree preferred

3 + years as a Food Server

1 -2 years supervisory experience

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
This position directly supervises all Food Servers
