**About the Role**:
The City of St. Catharines is looking to fill an Accounting Student position for the upcoming season.

**What You Will be Doing**:

- (These set out the principal functions of the position and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements)._
- Month-end/annual general ledger account reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of financial documentation
- Analyze and input data
- Assist with the preparation of correspondence and memos
- Filing and other miscellaneous clerical duties
- Position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic and a demonstrated commitment to enhancing a safety culture

**About You**:
**Qualifications**:

- Enrolled in full-time studies the semester preceding the summer and returning to full-time studies in September.
- Enrolment in an Accounting Studies Program is preferred

**Skills**:

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

**Other Requirements**:

- Available to work commencing early May
- Proven completion of Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness training.
- A demonstrated commitment to enhancing a safety culture.
- Ability to travel between City work locations is required.
- Proof of education will be required upon hire.
