**INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN APPRENTICE**
Under the direction of the Electrical Supervisor, the instrumentation tech apprentice is responsible for installing and maintaining all process monitoring and/or control instruments, including indicators, recording devices, control loops and computers. The incumbent will be responsible for instrumentation equipment and regular field programming, troubleshooting/adjustments of equipment, and ensuring the instrument reads and reliable and accurate. **The blended hourly rate for this role starts at $32.73.** This position will work on a rotational basis of 12-hour shifts. Responsibilities are noted below which will include but are not limited to:
**Main Tasks and Responsibilities**:
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Delta V programming and hardware maintenance.
- PM and repair of various site analyzers.
- Comprehend complex work instructions and documentation as well as the ability to perform duties with little direction.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues with electrical and instrumentation.
- Any other duties as required by the Supervisor.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED or equivalent;
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Willingness to learn new instrumentation skills, and systems
- Previous instrumentation experience is an asset
- Self-directed and self-motivated; ability to approach work with a continuous product improvement mindset;
- Experience working at a remote mine-site is an asset.
- Proven commitment to safety, health and environmental standards;
- Must have a valid driver’s license; and
- Must pass pre-employment medical, substance abuse test, criminal records check, and provide a driver’s abstract;
