**Job Summary**

The Operator Training Supervisor manages a team of Operators, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation. They ensure that services are performed on time and reliably, and that company goals are met. They also help resolve Operator issues and provide guidance to their team.

The Operator Training Supervisor reports to the Operator Team Leader.

**Responsibilities**
- **Hiring**: Assist with the hiring of new Operators and provide training throughout the onboarding process.
- **Program Design**: Identify training needs, design learning experiences, evaluate the training program’s effectiveness and maintain the training program.
- **Training**:Train Operators, including subcontracted Operators, in job duties, company policies and procedures.
- **Identify development needs**:Identify areas where Operators can improve and help them develop their skills.
- **Ensure compliance**: Ensure compliance with transportation laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- **Evaluate performance**:Assess staff performance, provide feedback and prepare performance reports.
- **Continuous Improvement**:Identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions to continually optimize performance.
- **Administration**:Support the Operations department with day-to-day administrative tasks, employee management, operational oversight, and other responsibilities.
- **Other**:Other duties as required.

**Job Specifications**
- 1-2 years experience developing and implementing training programs.
- Ability to effectively present information and provide instructions for learning purposes.
- Must possess a working knowledge of office-based software (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to multi-task including prioritizing tasks in a demanding environment.
- Must have a full G drivers license with a clean driver’s abstract, a clean vulnerable sector check, and pass an employee fit test.
- A strong understanding of the geographical layout of the City of Hamilton and outlying areas is an asset.
- Institutional knowledge of DARTS’ activities, structures, and business processes is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
