We are a positive, supportive, and fun loving workplace. We provide a mix of community based services in homes and daycares, and clinic based services in our beautiful new East Vancouver clinic.

**The Opportunity**:

- Working alongside occupational therapists and therapy assistants, you will provide a range of comprehensive supports for young children with a variety of developmental needs. You will have opportunities to work on everything from early social engagement, speech, language, and AAC, to emotional regulation and executive functioning.
- Be one of first therapists in the country - and the world to learn the JASPER therapy approach (Joint Attention, Symbolic Play, Engagement, and Regulation: Kasari, Gulsrud, Shire & Strawbridge, 2021).
- Collaborate with your SLP, OT, and therapy assistant colleagues on a daily basis.
- Act as a guide for families navigating the process of diagnosis and supporting their child.
- Develop and practice your skills in parent coaching, and training therapy assistants and other support staff.
- Have regular ongoing support from Nurture Directors.

**Requirements**:

- The ability to quickly develop warm and caring professional relationships with clients and their families, Nurture staff, and community partners.
- High level of analytical and clinical problem solving skill.
- Strong understanding of the principles of evidence-based practice, and the ability to assess and interpret scientific literature.
- Strong understanding of child development across domains.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A strong desire to develop leadership skills and work collaboratively with a team.

Transportation, a criminal record check, and current First Aid certification will be required for this position.

**Working Arrangements & Remuneration**:
Nurture is a non-profit society operating on a fee-for-service basis. We are committed to ensuring that our clinicians receive a competitive wage. Clinicians will be employed by Nurture and will receive a combination of commission and salaried pay ranging from $73-100,000. Pay will vary based on experience and training. There is opportunity for substantial salary growth over time at Nurture.

Additional Benefits:

- Weekly dedicated supervision time from Directors.
- $500 Professional Development allowance.
- Training in JASPER (approximately $5000 value).
- $1000 Health Spending Account annually.

For Speech Language Pathologists who are new graduates or do not yet meet criteria for the Registered Autism Service Providers List, we offer a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). This CFY year provides a period of mentoring and experience to allow clinicians to develop specialized skills and meet RASP list criteria.

**To Apply**:
Pay: $73,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
