- Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of personal care to our residents
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to understand residents’ individual needs, and advocate for residents.
- Assist residents with all daily living activities.
- Support residents with personal hygiene care, as well as basic nursing care, companionship and activities.
- Identify and report any changes in the resident’s well-being to the Registered Practical Nurse or Manager of Resident Services.
- Ensure clear and appropriate communication occurs across the department, residence, and with families.
- Promote positive relationships with staff, physicians, and external care providers to ensure high quality service is provided to residents.
- Actively participate in ongoing training.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker from a Community College.
- Demonstrated knowledge of personal care practices.
- Experience in a retirement home is considered an asset.
- Must be able to work weekends, varied shifts, call-ins, and holidays as assigned.
- Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills and be able to work individually and as part of a team.
