As a Lead Hand within our Manufacturing Department, you will play a crucial role in assembly, as well as guiding and supporting our labor force to ensure our panels are manufactured according to the fabrication tickets. Your contributions will be integral to maintaining our commitment to safety, quality, and innovation in manufacturing operations.

**Total Compensation Package**:

- $24/hour, paid bi-weekly with guaranteed annual increases
- UBCJA Union Membership
- Employer paid Extended Health Care, Vision, Dental, AD&D, Life Insurance and Pension
- 10% vacation pay in addition to hourly wage

What you’ll be doing

**Design Execution and Improvement**:

- Ensure precise assembly of panels according to design specifications, identifying and resolving design issues to streamline fabrication processes.
- Collaborate with the design team to enhance product manufacturability through active participation in design reviews.

**Quality Assurance Contribution**:

- Maintain meticulous attention to detail in quality monitoring, promptly identifying and addressing any non-conformities or issues in alignment with UnitiWall's QA/QC manual.
- Contribute to the overall quality excellence of UnitiWall products through rigorous quality monitoring and management.

**Safety Compliance and Training**:

- Enforce stringent safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, promptly addressing any unsafe practices detected.
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions for new staff to ensure adherence to safety standards and proper machine usage.

**Maintenance and Workplace Organization**:

- Oversee regular maintenance and cleanliness of the manufacturing area to promote a safe and organized working environment conducive to productivity.
- Ensure inventory levels are diligently monitored, and materials meet quality requirements before entering the production flow.

**Manufacturing Leadership and Skill Development**:

- Operate and maintain manufacturing machinery following proper training, guiding laborers in developing proficiency with hand tools and equipment.
- Lead by example in loading material carts, assembling components accurately, and installing additional materials to exact specifications.
