SNA Construction Ltd is a Construction Management firm that provides General Contracting services to the commercial and residential construction industry in the Southern Alberta regions. SNA Construction Is currently hiring for skilled labourers to join the team.

**Job description**

**The Role**:
The Skilled Labourer will be required to perform various physically demanding tasks and operate various power hand tools while working in a team and individual setting.

**Responsibilities/Tasks**:

- Maintain company safety guidelines and practices
- Clean and preform preparation of construction work sites
- Use tools, materials, and equipment on site
- Dig ditches, or trenches, backfill excavations, compact and level earth to specific elevations, using appropriate tools
- Assist erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring braces, ramps or other temporary structures
- Various landscaping duties
- Heavy lifting of equipment and project materials
- Load, unload and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations according to project plans and specifications
- Assist the Project Supervisor and Site Superintendent on site
- Perform demolition work

**Requirements**:

- Ability to provide physical effort - some heavy lifting required
- Comfortable using both hand and power tools
- Previous experience in the commercial construction industry, preferred 1-year
- Experience using measurement tools
- Knowledge of workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling procedures
- Knowledge of First Aid and CPR preferred
- Able to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do the job
- Requires ability to climb ladders for heights
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, using abdominal and lower-back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
- Some travel required

Expected start date: 2021-07-19

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- construction: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Drivers Licence (preferred)
