**Your day at Trim Landscaping**:
We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Grading Crew Leader to join our team. You will lead a crew in executing grading and excavation work on high-end landscaping projects. You will ensure quality execution of site preparation, rough and final grading of gravel and soil and drainage solutions. Your role will involve operating heavy equipment, reading blueprints, and coordinating daily site activities to meet project deadlines.

**Responsibilities**:

- Instruct employees in proper work methods and standards; monitor crew work quality; ensure adherence to time schedules and safe work practices,
- Safety - Wear appropriate PPE for the job, report accidents and near misses, participate in safety briefings
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills
- Show up on time with a positive attitude, ready, willing, and capable of working for the day.
- Assign daily tasks to crew members to complete weekly goals. (Given by Operations manager)
- Perform labor-intensive tasks
- Complete all necessary paperwork, meetings & administration daily including;- **Morning huddles**:

- **Timesheets with notes, pictures, correct times & correct jobsite tasks**:

- **Toolbox Talks on weekly basis**:

- **T&M sheets with labor, equipment & materials**:

- **Safety reports (incidents and near misses)**:

- **Order and/or coordinate daily materials or products that are needed**
- Operate and maintain grading and excavation equipment, including excavators, skid steers and attachments.
- Conduct rough and final grading for landscaping projects, ensuring proper elevations and drainage.
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans and specifications to execute grading work accurately.
- Work closely with project managers and other crew leaders to ensure efficiency and quality in project completion.
- Train and mentor crew members in grading techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation.

**Job Requirements**:

- High school graduation required
- Four years of relevant experience is required with two years in a supervisory capacity preferred
- Able to read and understand blueprints or design specifications
- Understand and use of a laser level
- Experienced with an excavator - roto-tilt experience considered an asset
- Able to layout a project and bring materials to final grades
- Condition 15 (trailer license - considered an asset)
