If so, consider this opportunity to help shape public health strategies, policies and programs to meet the specialized needs of Indigenous communities in Ontario. **What we do**: the Accountability and Liaison Branch is responsible for funding, accountability management, and oversight of Public Health Units and Public Health Ontario, and for the leadership of Indigenous relations, strategies, and public health programs. Refer to the "How to apply" section if you require a disability-related accommodation. **What can I expect to do in this role?**: - Demonstrate authenticity, accountability and courage - Lead for the future by embracing positive disruption, having a future mindset and developing others - Lead with a common purpose, be inclusive and drive people centered outcomes - Lead and manage the planning, development, research and evaluation of strategic and operational policy initiatives - Provide strategic advice and analysis to support the Minister and Deputy Minister on health related matters - Provide expertise and advice to executives, senior management and staff on policy options, legislation, funding, risk and management strategies - Oversee partnership, collaboration and consensus building with Indigenous and intergovernmental partners - Build and nurture Indigenous and intergovernmental partnerships and act as a key ministry contact for federal, provincial and territorial partners - Lead the management and governance of data sets for policy analysis - Manage and coordinates the activities related to transfer payment management including the negotiations, design and risk assessment **How do I qualify?**: **Strategic Leadership Skills**: You have: - experience providing strategic direction, guidance and coaching to staff and/or project teams. - experience fostering an environment of inclusion, high performance, learning, growth and continuous improvement. - experience leading complex projects and high-profile initiatives, effectively utilizing resources and prioritizing tasks to get results. **Technical Expertise**: You have: - expertise in policy development theory, practices and methods as it relates to Indigenous and Public Health programs. - knowledge of economic analysis and quantitative research methods to provide specialized advice and expertise on policy and program strategies. - ability an understanding of Cabinet legislative and political decision making-processes. - policy and program expertise to strategically lead and manage multiple policy projects and oversee partnership development. - understanding of factors and issues impacting and influencing the health of Indigenous communities/Peoples. **Consultation, Communication and Stakeholder Management**: You have: - effective consultation, relationship-building and negotiation skills to manage stakeholder, and key Indigenous partner relations, including inter-ministerial, federal-provincial and inter-provincial collaboration and engagement. - consensus-building skills to balance competing interests of multiple stakeholders. - well developed communication skills to provide advice and present issues management strategies/recommendations to staff, senior management and executives. - analytical skills to develop and evaluate stakeholder, Indigenous and key partner outreach strategies to facilitate province-wide public and stakeholder input on Indigenous health policy direction. **Analytical and Planning Skills**: You have: - knowledge of project management principles and methodologies to oversee and guide the overall delivery of mandates and strategies. - knowledge of vendor management and government procurement principles, practices and methods, to authorize project contracts. - experience leading and managing multi-year strategic business /program/ser
