**Position Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Provide elegant, attentive, and knowledgeable service to all guests.
- Guide guests through the food and beverage menus, highlighting Italian flavors and traditions.
- Support wine service, including bottle presentation, opening, and proper pours.
- Recommend wine pairings and assist with building guest confidence in selections.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of menu items, daily features, and chef-driven pairings.
- Collaborate with the sommelier/management team to continually expand wine knowledge.
- Ensure fine dining service standards (table settings, timing, guest interaction) are upheld at all times.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years of serving experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
- Basic wine knowledge required; formal wine education (WSET Level 1/2 or equivalent) is an asset.
- Strong interest in Italian wines and a hunger to develop sommelier-level expertise.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional yet warm guest approach.
- Ability to multitask gracefully in a high-standard environment.
- Smart Serve (or equivalent) certification required.
