**About the Job**

The HR Specialist is responsible for coordination of several programs and initiatives within the Human Resources Department, with areas of focus including Recruitment; Employee Relations and Wellness; Employee Experience and HR Systems.

Using highly developed organizational skills, the HR Specialist will collaborate with and support the HR team, key business leaders and team members.

The key responsibilities of this position will be:

- Coordinate the review and revision of all position descriptions by consulting with leaders and staff to ensure all position descriptions are up to date and reflective of the jobs they describe.
- Ensure recruitment activity is updated regularly in the applicant tracking system (ADP)
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs
- Organize and attend job fairs and other recruiting events
- Liaise with talent agencies Canada wide
- Creation and maintenance of employee files in ADP WFN including new hires, transfers, and employee updates
- Maintain and update recruitment and selection policies, procedures, and documentation
- Provide resources to employees regarding company benefits
- Contribute to our Company Culture through coordination of social function and activities
- Coordinate the company’s Wellness initiatives
- Other HR administrative tasks as assigned

**Must Haves**:

- Equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources
- Three years’ experience providing HR support
- A comprehensive understanding of all areas of HR, including but not limited to, Employment Standards, Employee Relations, Occupational Health & Safety Act, recruitment & selection, and benefits
- Knowledge of Windows, MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience working with HRIS systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives within specified time frames
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands at a time
- Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and use good judgement
- You are highly organized and have an excellent eye for detail
