**Director, Human Resources**

The Halifax Port Authority is seeking a people-first, future-focused leader to join us as our **Director, Human Resources**. Reporting to our Vice President, Talent and Communications, this role is all about shaping a connected, high-performing, and resilient workplace—where people thrive, culture is strong, and strategy meets purpose.

What You'll Do:

- Lead HR strategy and operations across the employee lifecycle
- Champion a collaborative, values-driven workplace culture
- Oversee union relations with ILA Local 1843 and PSAC Local 80826
- Prepare for and lead collective bargaining and labour relations
- Coach and advise leaders, and support their teams' growth
- Elevate our recruitment, engagement, and people programs

What You Bring:

- 7-10 years in HR leadership, preferably with union experience
- Strategic mind, strong EQ, and next-level communication skills
- Passion for collaboration, innovation, and creating belonging
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement and managing change effectively
