Toronto, Canada GTA General Contractors Full time

The **GTA General Contractors** team is growing We are looking for a talented and competent Site Supervisor to ensure our client projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget and at the highest quality possible.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain safe, secure and healthy job site environment by following and enforcing company standards and safety procedures, complying with legal regulations
- Supervising and giving instructions to the building team and subcontractors.
- Ability to perform hands-on construction tasks as needed
- Provide daily and weekly schedule, and other reports to project manager as required
- Meet and communicate with clients, trades, inspectors, and other third parties as required
- Working with project team to coordinate resources, materials and trades; coordinating and receive deliveries as required
- Monitor progress on site, and work with project manager to make sure project is on track and being performed to the highest standards
- Analyzing drawings and other project documents, to make sure that building projects meet requirements for design, safety, and budget. Report any issue, error or discrepancy to the project manager
- Work to resolve deficiencies on site, which may include performing handyman type tasks of miscellaneous items
- Be a forward thinking solution provider to issues that may acquire and assist others on site solve problems
- Take responsibility for project success

**Requirements for Site Supervisor**:

- Completion of a post-secondary education construction training program is preferred
- Experience working in the ICI construction industry
- Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience either as a construction supervisor or site manager
- Sound knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations. _Preference will be given to those with knowledge/experience with COR certification_
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- Working closely with design team, project manager, and operations staff to make project as efficient as possible and correct any issue that may arise
- An absolute commitment to job safety
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.

**Salary**: From $70,000.00 per year

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
