Reporting to the Recreation Coordinator, the Preschool and Children’s Instructor is responsible for designing, implementing and supervising a quality program geared towards meeting the individual needs of children between the ages of 3-5 years old. We are currently looking for instructors to work our Seasonal Program Sessions in the evening, daytime and/or weekend for Children’s Arts, Pre-School Programs and Sports.

**Key Responsibilities Include**:

- Plans and lead instructional programs for children.
- Set-up and clean-up of any supplies needed for the program.
- Effectively communicate with participants and their parents/guardians, addressing any questions, concerns, complaints, or suggestions about the program; pass on any relevant information to the Recreation Coordinator.
- Report any issues, concerns, or areas of development to the Recreation Coordinator.
- Complete administrative tasks as assigned.
- Provide adaptations and modifications to planned exercises/techniques and/or available equipment where appropriate.
- Create a welcoming, safe, and positive environment for all participants.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Excellent customer service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with children, preferably in a recreational setting.
- Previous experience planning and implementing program plans.
- Availability/flexibility to work daytime, evenings, and weekends.
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certificate or willing to obtain prior to employment.
- HIGH FIVE: Principles of Healthy Childhood Development (Considered an asset).
- Due to the nature of this position a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) satisfactory to the Town (Those 17 Years & Older) or the completion of Declaration of Minors - Working with Vulnerable Individuals Self Declaration Form (Those 16 Years and Younger) is required.

**Hourly Rate: $18.45**
