Plasma Operator

We are a North American Leader in the Fabrication sectors with operations across Canada, and the

USA. We are a fully-integrated supplier of manufacturing and engineering services providing steel

components and complex, high value-added assemblies for the agricultural, construction, mining,

energy, heavy truck and industrial sectors.

The Machine Operator will be responsible for supporting the production team in machine operations,

loading and off-loading product or inventory, conducting quality checks and finishing parts using hand

tools as required.

The Machine Operator will report directly to the Team Lead and/or Production Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Understands the use of equipment, sheet loader, and laser conveyor.
- Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements, and

selects desired cutting program.
- Observes and monitors machine during process.
- Conducts ongoing visual inspection of parts before forwarding to next procedure.
- Measure workpiece dimensions to ensure accuracy.
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust or scale from workpiece, if required.
- Identify opportunities for improvements.
- Follow strict quality control procedures.
- Follow good housekeeping practices.
- Follows and comply with all Operational Procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee

Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e. IATF, ISO 14001)
- Any other duties as may be assigned.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with a minimum of three (3) months

experience.
- Metal Fabrication experience.
- Ability to interpret blueprints / shop fabrication drawings.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Mathematically inclined.
- Comfortable to work with large size components.
- Experience operating overhead crane equipment.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:
