**Job Title**:
Bookkeeper / Admin Assistant Permanent Part Time
- Accounting (reconciliations, journal entries, month end closing, etc)
- Accounts receivable management
- Accounts payable management (reporting, issuing payments, managing credit accounts)
- Cash management, including working with lenders,
- Payroll processing (bi-weekly payroll processing, filing ROEs and T4s, government requests)
- Internal reporting (monthly statements, KPIs, etc.)
- Ensure accuracy with internal accounting policies and business processes as well as compliance with and oversite toward cost control and accuracy
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- External reporting (lenders, insurers, etc.)
- Government reporting and filings (ROEs, T4s, source deductions, Statistics Canada, WCB, etc.)
- Capital asset analysis
- Annual budgeting process (leading budget process, provide reporting on budget to actual)
- Project accounting for renovations and development expenses
- Accounting Designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA), or in final stages with experience (may be considered)
- 5+ years experience in accounting, AR, AP, cash management, and reporting
- Quickbooks software including payroll processing
- Reporting and working with external parties (lenders, accountants, etc)
- Experience working in diverse company with multiple responsibilities
- Able to work independently and be self motivated
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong use of technology
Full cycle accounting for a portfolio of Commercial/Residential properties
- Preparation and review of monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement etc.)
- Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations
- Monthly billing of rent charges and deposits
- Prepare yearend audit working papers
- Maintain all records and filling in an orderly efficient manner. Must be detail oriented, analytical, problem solver and creative thinker
- Ad hoc projects and other duties as reasonably assigned from time to time.
**Requirements**:
- A degree or diploma in accounting or business administration (preferred)
- 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in property accounting
- Experience and adaptability in using specialized accounting software like Quickbooks,
- Strong time management skills, excellent people skills and must be highly organized.
**Rewards**:
- Flexible part time hours.
4 to 5 days per week, 4 to 5 hrs per day ,$20 to $25 per hour.

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
